V. tallit

8 08 2007

I’m working hard on the V. tallit. The V is an initial for the person who has commissioned this tallit. This is the honey colored tencel. It’s a 1600 thread warp. I will start inserting weft tonight. The tallit must be woven, embroidered and shipped by Monday. Anybody takin’ bets? My studio technician has been helping me greatly! She is here promptly at 8 am, and has pulled threads through heddles, stay stitched fabric, helped me develop a prototype kippah, and been company in the studio. So far, she has also consented to work an extra hour each day. Does that tell you how much I appreciate her work?
Thanks Emily!
