Oh it’s been so wonderful to be in the new studio. We have 1300 squ feet of fiber arts space. I have finally moved my orchids into the new studio, which is the definitive ‘stamp of approval’ for me. The Tues. morning weaving class was the first class to meet there. The students seemed happy with it. Next, the sewing students met in the studio, and loved having their own space. Last night, the Wed. night weaving class was held there. Everyone seems happy with the new space. I’ll continue to put pictures up as we settle in. On the looms right now: 2 double weave throws, one Lee’s surrender, 4 cotton chenille scarves, 1 possible yardage in honeysuckle, 1 mohair shawl and one m’s and O’s towels. And then on my own loom, 4 harness huck curtains.
The sewing students are finishing up a couple of skirts. One is an A-line, and another is a nice straight skirt with a bias insert. One of the sewing students is also working on a maxi dress and another working on a pair of pajama bottoms. Here are the pics:
